The procurement function has undergone significant transformation over the years
from a tactical to a broader strategic role. As organisations are increasingly
re-inventing themselves to navigate through the changing landscape with new
agility, the expectations from procurement to evolve into an
‘enabling’ and ‘value creation’ function instead of its
traditional role as a ‘compliance’ or ‘enforcement’
function is now stronger than ever.
This presents a unique opportunity for procurement leaders to increase their
departments’ influence within the organization and expand their value
offering beyond just cost savings to a holistic orientation of business-value.
This calls for a radical rethinking on how people, process and technology can be
transformed to build resilient, efficient and sustainable procurement 4.0.
Supported by the Bahrain Tender Board and held under the
patronage of H.E. Shaikh Nayef bin Khalid Al Khalifa, Chairman of

East 2021 will be held on 9 - 10 November
2021 in the Kingdom of Bahrain as a hybrid

As the only government endorsed procurement event in the region, Procurement
Middle East brings together the most influential leaders in the procurement and
supply chain sector to discuss impending issues and solutions, and explore
innovative avenues for the development of the procurement sector.
